I was reared as one of eight children in a godly, Christian home. Being a part of a large family is a wonderful blessing and I thank God for each one in my ever-growing family. (There are seventy-two of us now –
including spouses & children!)
Everything changed for me at the age of twenty – I was a junior in college and my father died suddenly of a heart attack. Wow! God, His truth & heaven became so very real to me. My faith was strengthened through that dark & painful time, and it marked the beginning of a more intimate relationship with Christ.
After graduating from college with a degree in Math Education I married the most wonderful guy ever, Scott Baumann. Now, we’ve been married almost 20 years and have 5 healthy & beautiful children. Sounds like a nice & neat little package, doesn’t it? Well, if you’ve lived at all, you know that nothing is really ever what it seems.
God has allowed me to go through many trials including: miscarriage, depression, obesity, relocation (we moved from the east coast to rural Illinois - I am NOT a farm girl!), tumors and much more. Notice, I said “through”… God walked me through every painful, scary, dark & empty day. He doesn’t always REMOVE us from it, sometimes we need to go through it. Our God is a Gentle Teacher – I absolutely love that! He knows exactly what He’s doing. Don’t ever doubt that.
I am a naturally transparent person and I believe that God made me that way with a purpose. I am passionate about my God and the things He has taught me. I want to lead, encourage & teach women about a faith that is DAILY- AUTHENTIC – SWEET and ultimately glorifying to God.
